Laura & Mike’s Speke Hall Wedding
Laura & Mike’s Speke Hall wedding took place on 2nd April at the stunning and atmospheric Speke Hall, originally built in 1530. Being a spring wedding the daffodils were out in all their glory and the whole setting at Speke Hall was just lovely.
Laura and the girls all got ready at her mums house and we met the boys at Speke Hall. Laura looked stunning in her beautiful satin gown and her bridesmaids were lovely in a mint green floral dresses and her flower girl was just adorable. The boys all looked dapper in Silver grey tail coats.
it was a very emotional ceremony and Laura and Mike are just made for each other.
The attention to detail was just lovely as Laura’s love for rabbits was incorporated into her lovely theme, including a very delightful cake. Her flowers were gorgeous pink roses with lilac freesia and they looked wonderful against the setting of the Marquee.
Speke Hall is a fantastic venue with the Great Hall and priest hole date from Tudor times, while the Oak Parlour and smaller rooms, some with William Morris wallpapers. It is set in stunning grounds with a rose garden, summer border and stream garden, and there are woodland walks and magnificent views of the Mersey basin and North Wales hills from high bank. In the courtyard of the main building are two ancient Yew trees, male and female, called ‘Adam’ and ‘Eve’. First recorded in correspondence dating to 1712, they are generally estimated to be at least 500 years old.
There was a beautiful atmosphere all day long and the party got of to a full swing as the twilight hours fell.
Laura & Mike’s Speke Hall wedding was a truly lovely day and we wish Laura & Mike a very happy Wedded life together!
