They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it truly is, when I take a portrait,  its about capturing an element of the sitters character, something I find intriguing or maybe even alluring, its about wanting to know more about a person by looking at a single image and its about warming to a personality, so whether it’s a personal branding portrait for a business, an image of a loved one or you want to make a statement, portraiture for me is about piecing together the person in front of me and allowing them to shine,  it’s a brief moment in time between photographer and sitter where you can create something captivating and compelling by telling their story. 

People have always intrigued and fascinated me and being able to take a photograph and capture an element of their character is something that challenges and drives me. Time stands still in a photograph and you can immediately be transported back to a place and time, or feel the emotion by looking at an image. I find photography a very powerful medium for this reason and it enables us through an image to connect to our audience leaving a lasting impression in a moment.
