Seated Bride at 30 james street

Kirsty and Ben’s 30 James Street Wedding

Kirsty and Ben were married at the wonderful 30 James Street on the 26th November 2016. Happy first anniversary !!

I thought I would share their wedding with you to show you the lighting conditions and how the rooms look at this time of year.  Kirsty and Ben were both fun loving wonderful people with an eye for opulence. This stunning historical setting in Liverpool 30 James Street combines decadence and style, with views over the River Mersey.

Albion House was the former HQ of the White Star Shipping line. This iconic building with is decorative architecture and brickwork  certainly has the wow factor as you enter the building. I remember on the day, the girls had hair and make up done at Peaches and Cream salon and then headed over tho the hotel to get dressed. Neil had gone over to see Ben and his brother, who looked very dapper in their grey suits. The flowers were an exquisite mix of white roses and feathers. They complemented the soft greys of the boys suits beautifully.

The girls, flower-girls and pages all got ready together and there was an lovely feeling of excitement in the air, I had met the two page boys the year before at another wedding so it was lovely to see them in this role once again. Kirsty looked stunning in her fishtail lace gown.  The highlight of my day had to be the pillow fight on the bed!

The White Star Grand Hall  is spacious and light, allowing for lots of naturally light photographs of the ceremony and  speeches, its one of the largest wedding suites in Liverpool with lovely high ceilings , Upstairs the balcony can be used creatively to get some stunning sunset shots. With the Liver buildings and Pier head across the road, it has the backdrop for some really creative photography.  We were blessed with dry weather so we took a walk over to pier head for some shots and it also gave the couple some time to be together.
It was a fantastic day and everyone had a wonderful time dancing the night away.

Neil and I wish Kirsty & Ben a very happy wedding anniversary!!!
