Votive Hearts for the Heart Foundation.
Over this last half term week, I have taken time out from my usual photographic commissions to spend time with my children. They have been making hearts out of plaster of Paris to decorate a tree that Samantha Brown Photography will be sponsoring in aid of the British Heart Foundation.
The tree will be part of the Christmas tree festival held at St Faiths Church Crosby from the 5th to the 11th of December. Last year the church looked spectacular with its fine array of beautifully decorated Christmas trees from various, businesses, schools and charities from across the region. This year we hope to make it even better! There will be tea, coffee’s and cake available, sung chritmas carols and a number of stalls selling hand crated items, beaded jewellery and jams.
The children have had a lot of fun making the hearts by carefully painting them, then threading beads on tiny wires to wrap around the hearts. we have fixed a little hook on to the bottom of each heart to allow you to attach a name tag to a heart in honour of someone you love.
We have dedicated hearts to people we love, and people we have loved but have sadly passed away.
So please come and dedicate a heart to someone you love by writing their name on the name tag provided, then hanging it from a heart of your choice on the tree for a small donation which will be donated to the British Heart Foundation.
It is something that we hold special in our hearts as some of our family members have been affected by serious heart conditions and have become well again thanks to the amazing surgeons that mend broken hearts!
Please come and support us and please vote for our tree during the Christmas tree festival week.
Please come and enjoy some festive spirit and dedicate a heart to someone you love.
