Claire & Andy’s Beeston Manor Wedding

Claire & Andy’s Beeston Manor Wedding

Claire & Andy’s Wedding Beeston Manor, took place on the 13th August 2016, its been such a busy year so far and I have lots of exciting weddings to show you, so please stay tuned and watch this space.

The couple were married at  Beeston Manor which is is a family run and owned venue set in 140 acres of land at Hoghton near Preston. The 16th Century barn has been beautifully converted complete with oak beams and sandstone walls, and the grounds are truly stunning offering a wonderful backdrop for beautiful photography.

The morning bridal preparations were lovely and relaxed as mum and  all the girls were getting ready at the venue.
Claire had taken great care and had paid such attention to detail  along with the venue to ensure it looked just perfect for a summer wedding.

Claire looked  beautiful in her wedding gown from Dream Dress Bridal in Stockport, Her bridesmaids looked beautiful in delicate shade of sage green. Claire made her own bouquet which was hand tied with a mix of roses, chrysanthemums and lovely greenery.

Neil had gone to photograph Andy and the guys, who all looked very handsome indeed in their blue and grey sharply cut suits.

The ceremony was lovely accompanied by the dulcet tones of  Andy’s sister Laura on flute.
After the ceremony the guests were able to enjoy games on the lawns and so much fun was had. It was just the perfect day,  relaxed and fun with hook a duck, hook the bottle, Jenga and lots of hula hoops! Claire is a huge Star Wars fan so they even brought their very own light sabers!!

After Claire and Andy’s first dance, Claire surprised us with an amazingly choreographed dance with her father!!!

Just Brilliant!!!! Neil & I wish Claire and Andy a blissfully happy marriage!

Sarah and Lee’s Palm House Wedding

Sarah & Lee’s Palm House Wedding took place on the 30th of July 2016.

The day was full of glorious sunshine and the beautiful grade 2 listed  Palm House in Liverpool’s Sefton Park made a stunning setting for Sarah & Lee’s wedding.
I had gone to Sarah’s house in the morning while Neil was with Lee.
It was all very calm and peaceful in Sarah’s mums house in the morning, Sarah looked stunning in her very elegant satin gown with  lace detail on the back.
The bridesmaids were absolutely lovely in pale lemon dresses. The silk flowers for the bouquets had been beautifully put together by Sarah and complimented the dresses perfectly. Sarah and her mum had dressed the venue too which looked lovely.

It was so lovely to be with Sarah and her mum and dad that morning.
Neil had been photographing Lee  and the boys and they all looked very dapper indeed with their very stylish suits.

The setting of the palm house was beautiful. The historic Palm House was first opened in 1896, and is home to an exotic collection of plants and palm trees.
The ceremony was very emotional with a beautiful reading from Sarah’s sister Ella. The sun shone and the guests were all entertained by a brilliant magician!
The evening got into full swing with a fantastic band and everyone

A very beautiful wedding, with a very beautiful couple! We hope you had a fantastic honeymoon in Northern Italy
Neil & I wish Sarah and Lee every happiness in their marriage.

Bethan and Ben’s 30 James Street Wedding

Bethan and Ben were married at the lovely Bishop Eton Church on the 29th July, followed by a reception at 30 James Street.

Bishop Eton is a lovely church in South Liverpool and I have photographed many weddings there.
I had met Bethan whilst shooting her sister Ria’s wedding in May 2015 at the Titanic Hotel and it was an honour to be asked back to photograph another wedding within the family.

Bethan and the girls all got ready at her parents house and it was so lovely to meet Ria and Ash again with their adorable new baby boy. It was a real buzz with all the girls and Bethan’s lovely family.
The girls looked beautiful in soft lilac dresses and Bethan looked stunning in a beautiful beaded fishtail dress.
The flowers were an exquisite mix of white and ivory roses, freesia and hydrangeas. They complemented the soft lilacs and greys beautifully.
Ben and the boys looked fabulous in their silver grey suits.

Bens family are all Australian so they were able to see and explore the great sites that Liverpool has to offer, 30 James Street former HQ of the White Star line is an iconic building with is decorative architecture, brickwork and  stunning interior making this a perfect setting for a wedding.

We were blessed with good weather so we took a walk over to pier head for some shots in the golden hour and it also gave the couple some time to be together.

It was a fantastic day and everyone had a wonderful time dancing the night away.

Neil and I wish Bethan & Ben every happiness in their marriage together.

Annie and Alastair’s CHET Wedding

Annie and Alastair’s CHET Wedding , took place on the 11th June 2016 at CHET Crosby Hall Educational Trust in Little Crosby.
Its a wonderful location tucked away behind the stables, the 16th Century barn is truly breathtaking and provides a romantic setting for your special day. With beautiful gardens to take a stroll in and a lovely courtyard, perfect for summer weddings. Crosby Hall Educational Trust (CHET) is a independent centre set in a beautiful rural landscape of 120 acres about  8 miles north of Liverpool.  It was created out of the 17th century stables and farm buildings at Crosby Hall which has been the home of the Blundell family for many centuries.  The Blundell family founded CHET more than 25 years ago.

Annie and her sister got ready at her home in Southport. The flowers were an exquisite mix of beautifully scented rose’s, stocks, peonies and orchids  supplied by The Flower Barn in Little Crosby. Annie’s wedding gown had a beautifully beaded bodice with a fairy tail tulle skirt. Annie looked stunning. Her sister wore a delicate sage green dress.
Alastair and the boys were all rather dapper in their sharp blue suits with contrasting colourful ties and pocket handkerchieves.

CHET looked amazing with all of Annie’s special touches and all those gorgeous flowers everywhere! It was a perfect sunny day and the guests mingled, ate drank and were merry in the   cobbled courtyard.  A very happy and relaxed atmosphere was enjoyed by all. CHET is a magical place for a wedding with real charm and beauty.

Neil and I wish Annie & Alastair a wonderfully happy marriage!

Leanne and Gary’s Wedding

Leanne and Gary’s Wedding Vincent Hotel, took place on the 3rd June 2016, with the summer being so busy with weddings I have had no time to blog, but now that the autumn is approaching my plan is to catch up before not to long.

Leanne and Gary were married at Church in Formby followed by a reception at The Vincent Hotel.

Leanne and the girls spent the morning up in the penthouse at the Vincent, Its a great room with wonderful views over Lord Street. All the girls were in great spirits and the room was a hive of activity. The girls looked beautiful in soft shades of peach and Leanne was stunning in her beautifully beaded gown. The children were adorable and thought it was fun to hide away from the camera, we had to be very tactful to get our shots! It was a gloriously hot sunny day and the guests all had a fantastic time back at The Vincent with a very entertaining wedding singer. Here are just a few images from the day.

The Vincent Hotel is situated on Lord Street in Southport. Clare, Jo , Angelina and all the team are all lovely and will make sure your day runs smoothly from start to finish. Nothing is too much trouble and their attention to detail is second to none. The hotel itself offers a stylish, chic interior and was designed by award winning Architects Falconer Chester Hall. The room on the day was dressed beautifully in peach roses and ivory flowers.

There was a great party atmosphere and  Neil & I wish Leanne and Gary a very happy marriage!

Urban Home Furnishings Liverpool

A few days ago,  I had an interesting email from Elaine, a wonderful inspirational designer who is embarking on a new career in soft furnishings.
Elaine makes wonderful handmade footstools and cushions designed to your personal taste and to fit in with the decor of your home.

I asked Elaine to tell me a little bit about how this all started, here is what she said:

I am a mum of two boys and I work full time in a busy school office during the day which I really do get a lot of job satisfaction from, however my real passion is interior design and diy.
However my passion for diy took a leap last year because I had my heart set on a large deep buttoned  footstool for my living room like I see in all the interior mags. My only problem was I couldn’t find one in my price bracket that was a quality piece of furniture!

After trawling the Internet for alternatives I decided I would try and make my own. I did a little research and come across a guy on YouTube giving a tutorial on how to make a tufted footstool. I watched it a few times and thought to myself ‘I’m going to give this a go’. So I did and to my surprise I did a decent job.

My family and friends were also impressed and a couple even asked me to make them one too. I decided to look for courses that I could take. I found Ministry of Upholstery in Salford, they had a footstool course, result!
I completed the course and as I enjoyed it so much decided to launch my own business “Urban Home Furnishings”. I have built a workshop in my garden and I really love what I do. I have just completed a masterclass at Ministry on deep buttoning.

I plan on taking a masterclass on headboards too so I can add to my repertoire! I also make cushions so my clients can get a footstool and matching scatter cushions to complete the look.

I only use the finest quality UK based suppliers. All my footstools meet UK fire regulations.
My footstools are made with a solid hardwood frame, using traditional techniques for deep buttoning, no chip board and staples!
I am passionate about giving my clients a quality piece of furniture that does not cost the earth! “

Elaine will be exhibiting at the SLUXE SAMPLE SALE which takes place at Camp & Furnace in the creative heart of the Baltic Triangle on Saturday 16th July 11.00 – 4.30
This is a brand new event,  featuring international designers, homegrown talent and unique lifestyle labels. The first luxury designer sample sale of its kind to take place in Liverpool.
If you are looking for some perfect designer pieces to adorn your home this is the perfect place to be!

Claire and Andy’s pre wedding shoot

Claire and Andy’s pre wedding shoot took place recently in Formby Woods with a fabulous couple Claire & Andy.
Claire & Andy are to be married at Beeston Manor on the 13th August.

I love Formby woods and its been very popular recently with quite a few of my couples.  Im often in the woods either walking “Snowy” or taking photographs. Its a wonderful place with the pinewoods consisting of mainly Scotch and Corsican Pine, many up to 100 years old dating from when the woods were first planted.  The woodland opens up through to acres of open grassland, widely populated with many different heathers and flowering shrubs.

Pre wedding shoots can take place in your favourite places to banish fears of being photographed, they are a great way of making you feel easier about being photographed and overall less conscious of the camera. It just means you can forget about us on the day and we just get lots of lovely natural images of you. We turn your favourite images into a lovely signboard and then we bring it to the reception for all your lovely guests to leave their mark!

Claire & Andy were great and Im really looking forward to their wedding in August. These are just a few of my images from the shoot.
