Bethan & Ben’s pre wedding shoot Sefton Park

Bethan & Ben’s pre wedding shoot Sefton Park took place a couple of weeks ago, amongst the daffodils in Sefton Park Liverpool. The daffodils were in full bloom and looked like a glorious yellow carpet in places. Its such a wonderful sight to see after the bleakness of the winter months. The park was ablaze with golden daffodils and brings with it new hope it really is a sight to see. When I was a child I had learnt the William Wordsworth poem, “I wondered lonely as cloud” every time I see daffodils Im remind of his words and sentiment:

“I wondered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o’er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd
A host of dancing Daffodils;
Along the Lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.”

Bethan & Ben are to be married at the fabulous 30 James Street on the 29th of July this summer. I met Bethan while covering her sister Ria’a wedding last year at the Titanic Hotel Liverpool, and it was a real honour when Bethan asked Neil and I to be her photographer’s for her wedding. It will be so lovely to see all the family again and meet Ben’s family this time, all the way from Australia!
Still a little on the cool side but so lovely to know Spring has finally arrived. Sefton park is an amazing place during all seasons and it was a real pleasure to photograph Bethan and Ben in the park. They were great and it was lovely to capture the daffodils.

Pre wedding photographs are a great way to get used to being photographed and not feel so self conscious about the camera. Its great to be able to use the seasons to your advantage too. Many of my couples book one or two years in advance giving them all the seasons to use for their pre wedding backdrop. Liverpool has some amazing sights to offer and wonderful parks. Im looking forward to this year of wonderful weddings and pre wedding shoots in the park.
